    The M-Tac sock features thermal zones and cushioning in the toe and heel area with a transition to the foot's instep. These cushioning areas are designed to protect the foot from rubbing against the inner parts of the shoe when walking.

Transverse arch support has been added to improve performance on strenuous walking to keep the toe from bunching up at the bottom. A wide elastic band evenly distributes the load to keep the sock on the shin. The entire foot area is cushioned because of the inner terry weave, which allows a load of body weight to be distributed evenly over its entire surface. Trekking socks with textured thermal zones absorb most of the moisture, and through existing ventilation ducts, capillary drains out through the top of the shoe. They also combine perfectly with membrane shoes, as moisture removal to the outside is even faster.
