The UV-5RM provides extensive multi-band operational coverage, transmitting and receiving across 136–174 MHz (VHF) and 400–520 MHz (UHF), while providing wideband FM broadcast reception and AM reception across the civil aviation Airband (108–136 MHz). A built-in one-touch frequency scanner and copy function allows users to instantly intercept and clone active channel settings from nearby radios without connecting to programming software.
