The Morakniv Mörkret (S) is a rugged, no-compromise wilderness survival knife built for high reliability during heavy field tasks. Its heavy Full-Tang chassis provides structural balance and impact tolerance for heavy wood processing, batoning, and structural shelter construction. The High Flat grind with a secondary bevel reinforces the steel directly behind the primary edge, delivering exceptional cutting strength and resistance to chipping under lateral stress.
Forged from premium Swedish Alleima 14C28N stainless steel, the blade undergoes cryogenic treatment to reach an optimal 58 HRC hardness. This steel composition offers high corrosion resistance and edge stability, making it dependable in marshy, coastal, or freezing wet environments. The cutting edge extends all the way to the grip to maximize leverage and fine carving control. The 90° ground spine strikes fierce sparks with ferrocerium rods, while the exposed rear steel tang serves as a sharp scraper for tinder preparation.
Its glass-fiber reinforced Power Touch Grip combines a secure, cushioned hold with impact resistance, featuring spine ridges for slip-free purchase while wearing thick winter gloves. The ambidextrous Click-On sheath secures the knife with a click-lock mechanism and mounts effortlessly to TEK-LOK adapters, MOLLE load-bearing webbing, or the included LIBA Smart® dangler belt loop.
