Origin Outdoors Water Filter 'Hiking'
The Origin Outdoors 'Hiking' Water Filter is a lightweight, reliable, and highly versatile water purification solution built for outdoor enthusiasts, survivalists, and international travelers. Weighing just 104 grams, this compact unit provides immediate access to safe drinking water from lakes, rivers, streams, and rainwater storage.
Featuring an innovative modular construction, this filter can be used directly as a drinking straw or screwed onto standard PET plastic beverage bottles with 28 mm or 30 mm thread diameters using the included bottom adapter. Its 4-stage filtration process utilizes hollow fiber membranes with a 0.1-micron pore size alongside activated carbon to effectively filter out bacteria, protozoa, microplastics, sediment, and unpleasant odors.
Field-Cleanable & Durable
Engineered for extended wilderness trips, the filter supports backwashing (flushing clean water backward through the filter), allowing you to easily clear trapped sediment in the field and maintain an efficient flow rate of 0.5 liters per minute. Internal filter components are replaceable, maximizing long-term usability and offering up to 5,000 liters of total filtration capacity.
