Restores Waterproofing & Matte Finish
Over time and with exposure to rain, wind, and movement, the protective wax layer on cotton garments slowly wears away. Rapide Waxcoating deep-nourishes the cotton fibers, sealing out moisture and wind while restoring a clean, even, matte finish to your outerwear.
Application Manual / Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preparation: Clean the outside of your cotton jacket or garment thoroughly with a damp cloth or soft sponge using cold water. Allow it to dry completely.
- Melt the Wax: Place the wax tin in a water bath (a container of hot water) until the wax melts into a liquid state.
- Apply the Wax: Using a clean cloth, sponge, or soft brush, apply a thick, even coat of melted wax across the entire surface of the garment. Pay special attention to high-wear areas such as shoulder seams, elbows, pockets, and creases.
- Prepare for Heat Treatment: Once coated, turn the jacket completely inside out and place it inside a clean pillowcase.
- Distribute Heat (Dryer Method): Place the pillowcase containing the jacket into a clothes dryer on medium heat for 20 minutes. The heat allows the wax to melt smoothly into the fabric fibers, ensuring a uniform, streak-free matte finish.
Use Rapide Waxcoating ONLY on 100% pure cotton fabrics! It is strictly formulated for pure cotton and will not work on synthetic materials or cotton-polyester blended fabrics.
